Main Objective of Organisation
To alleviate poverty and improve the well-being of marginalized pastoralist communities in Northern Kenya through inclusive development programs that enhance livelihoods, expand access to education and healthcare, promote environmental sustainability, and support the sustainable management of natural resources.
Strategic Horizon
Lives Impacted in Africa’s Drylands
Where We Work
Operating across the vast Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs) of Northern Kenya, our interventions are deeply rooted in the distinct ecological and socio-cultural frameworks of Marsabit, Isiolo, Samburu, Wajir, and Mandera.

Our Programs
Three interconnected programs guide how we walk alongside pastoralist communities — restoring landscapes, strengthening nutrition, and building resilient livelihoods.

Natural Resources and Environment
We partner with community groups, self-help groups, churches and community-based organizations (CBOs) to drive grassroots ecosystem restoration and environmental conservation initiatives.

Health and Nutrition
We invest in a healthier future through our nutrition-sensitive programming by supporting pastoral communities in the ASAL regions to establish household kitchen gardens, strengthen linkages to reliable supply chains, and access agri-nutrition training. These interventions improve dietary diversity and household food security, contributing to better nutrition outcomes for entire families.

Sustainable Livelihoods and Enterprise Development
We empower local community members through entrepreneurship development and livelihood diversification to help them better cope with climate shocks. The organization also supports the establishment of village SACCOs that encourage savings and provide accessible credit, particularly for women who may otherwise face exclusion from formal financial institutions due to existing societal barriers.
Theory of Change
A systemic approach to dryland restoration and socio-economic empowerment.
